Overview
Koen Van Hulle is Chief Technology Officer at Lesterius and is based in Gent. He joined Lesterius in March 2015, working with Claris FileMaker, Claris Connect and Claris Studio, took on the management of the Lesterius Hosting business unit in January 2016, and was appointed Chief Technology Officer in 2023. His stated areas of expertise are Claris FileMaker, artificial intelligence, solution architecture, business process improvement and user experience design.
Before that he worked at myFMbutler, first as a developer from 2007 and then also as product manager from February 2012, holding both roles until April 2021. He was an iOS developer at RovingBird from 2009 to 2010, and organised the FMSummit event between January 2013 and October 2019. Earlier in his career he was a senior FileMaker developer at SHpartners from April 2001 to March 2015, and a web developer at The Knowledge Factory from July 1999 to April 2001.
He studied at Sint-Andreas, Arteveldehogeschool and Viso, and completed courses in information architecture, wireframing and prototyping, user interface principles and visual design for mobile and tablet with the Nielsen Norman Group in 2014 and 2015.
