Overview
After his computer science studies Kurt Dupont started at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, in Brussels. After three years he moved to the Brussels Airport Terminal Company that runs Brussels airport, where he worked as a programmer and was tasked with building a central database for common flight information so that it could be shown in real time on television screens for passengers and staff. Rather than build a separate graphic display function, he made the database work with PowerPoint, and that idea led him to start his own company in 1998 so the approach would be available to every business and organisation. The company began as Take-off and became PresentationPoint.
He has been listed as its manager since 17 April 1998. PresentationPoint states more than 10,000 customers and companies worldwide, among them NASA, Nestle, Philips, SpaceX, IBM, Siemens and Coca-Cola. Split-Flap TV runs at Jay-Z's Paper Planes store in New York and at the Capitol building in Washington D.C. for the United States House of Representatives. INSYNCR was registered as a Belgian private limited company on 21 November 2024 at the same address in As, with Kurt Dupont as permanent representative of its director.
