Overview
Marc Dechamps is chief executive officer of Bioxodes, a role he took up in October 2022, and is based in Waterloo. Since March 2022 he has been academic director and founder of the Advanced Master in Biotech & MedTech Ventures at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (SBS-EM) - ULB, and he chairs the boards of Investsud Tech and Investsud Innovation at INVESTSUD. He also sits on an advisory board at eu, serves as an administrator of BioGenCell Europe, and founded XMF Consulting, which he has led as managing director since July 2016.
He was an independent board member of OSE Immunotherapeutics from 2024 to 2025 and a board member of HealthTech For Care from 2022 to 2026. At the Council of European BioRegions - CEBR he was a board member from 2019 and president of the board from 2020 until 2023. He was director of international affairs at BioWin - The Health Cluster of Wallonia and later handled its international representation.
Earlier he was interim CEO of etherna, and chief operating officer then managing director of Delphi Genetics. At ViiV Healthcare he held European strategy and operations roles between 2009 and 2015, following posts at GSK as business unit director CNS and executive director, commercial specialty care and vaccines.
He holds a master's degree in biology from the Université de Namur.
