Michiel Kempen is the founder of hyperlab, a company he started in September 2012 and still leads. He is based in Bree.
Kempen founded Shipmate, where he was founder and chief technology officer from August 2016 until September 2024. He was also co-founder and chief technology officer of Be Someone between March 2021 and June 2023, and he founded Epic Media, which he ran from September 2012 to October 2017.
Kempen studied computer science at Hasselt University, completing a Bachelor of Science between 2013 and 2017 and a Master of Science between 2017 and 2020.
