Overview
Patrick Vanderbeken is managing partner and owner of AWSystems, a role he has held since January 2015. He is based in Zoersel. From January 2015 to April 2021 he was also managing partner and owner of AWSystems Europe Ltd, and since April 2006 he has been owner of CFO Consulting.
Between April 2002 and June 2013 he was financial and HR director at Schrauwen Sanitair & Verwarming, part of the CRH group. Before that he was a senior accountant at PwC from 1999 to March 2002, having begun at EY as an accountant in January 1997.
He studied accountancy and tax at Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen from 1994 to 1996 and took a bachelor's degree in fiscaliteit at Fiscaal Hogeschool - ESHAL from 1997 to 1999, followed by a master's in accounting at the Instituut der Accountants en belastingconsulenten from 1998 to 2001. He attended secondary school at don Bosco hechtel and spent the 1990 to 1991 school year at Rangeview High School in Denver, USA, where he obtained a high school diploma.
