Vincent Declercq is CEO of Dalton Ai, a Ghent-based Belgian AI Company Building intelligent automation solutions for business workflows. He previously founded FirstMate, an AI-powered developer assistant for code review and documentation alignment.
Vincent Declercq is the CEO of dalton-ai, based in Ghent. He co-founded Dalton AI in January 2025. Before that he co-founded FirstMate, where he was chief executive from January 2024 until February 2025.
From November 2022 to May 2024 he worked as a strategic consultant on international expansion for itsme, and earlier in 2022 he was a strategy manager at StuDocu | StudeerSnel.nl. He spent from September 2019 to February 2022 as an associate at Volta Ventures, and during part of that period, from January 2021 to February 2022, he sat as a board observer at NannyML. He began his career as a business analyst at IntellectEU from September 2018 to September 2019, following an internship as an associate consultant at Bain & Company in 2017 and a summer internship at the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce in 2016.
Declercq studied operations research and information engineering at Cornell University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 2018. He completed his secondary education in science and mathematics at Helige Maagd College.
