Fraud prevention has a simple purpose, but it is hard to get right:
stopping the wrong transaction ✋🏻 without disturbing the right customer.
Imagine a customer logs in from a new device, changes a password, adds a token and then makes several low-value transactions within a few minutes.
Each event may have a reasonable explanation on its own. But together, they create a very different risk picture.
This is why behavioural analytics is becoming such an important layer in fraud prevention.
