📊 What makes interoperability credible is not the architecture alone, it is whether it can be tested and verified.
That is the role of the #3DxVERSE Interoperability Testbed.
It brings together several layers of validation:
🔹 Conformance testing, using the European Commission's Interoperability Test Bed and related validation tools
🔹 Alignment with OASC Minimal Interoperability Mechanisms (MIMs), increasingly relevant for cities procuring interoperable solutions
🔹 Identity and access mechanisms, where technologies such as OpenID for Verifiable Credentials (OpenID4VC) and Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) are being explored
A practical example is the use of "Find & Bind" interfaces, based on OGC API Records, enabling datasets to be discovered and dynamically integrated into Digital Twin environments. 🖥️
⚙️For policy and procurement, this is crucial: interoperability becomes something that can be specified, tested, and required, not just recommended.
