We adopted a proven trust framework. Then we extended it for citizens.
Standard iSHARE handles B2B. Our fork adds the citizen layer.
Standard iSHARE is a trust framework for data exchange between organisations, business-to-business and business-to-government. It gives us a proven, legally grounded backbone for professional identity and access.
But roughly half of our citizen pilot use cases fall outside that scope.
So we "forked" iSHARE: we adopted what works unchanged, extended what needed extending for digital twins and AI, and added new modules iSHARE was never designed to cover.
What changed:
→ Standard iSHARE covers party identification via EORI/LEI. We extended it to non-NL identifiers and 3DxVERSE service levels for multi-country pilots (NL, DE, RO, Aruba).
→ Standard iSHARE handles data exchange. We added AI/model-sharing delegation — model-access rights, algorithm provenance, FRIA linkage, EU AI Act alignment.
→ Standard iSHARE is for organisational users. We added a citizen-engagement layer — pseudonym tokens, GDPR Art. 7 consent, public "view-only" access, aggregate-only storage.
→ Standard iSHARE has standard audit logs. We extended LDT delegation with a role taxonomy, purpose-limitation field, export flag, and 12-month tamper-evident audit retention.
→ We added accessibility and multilingual requirements: WCAG 2.1 AA.
In one line: Standard iSHARE handles trust between organisations. The 3DxVERSE fork adds the citizen layer, AI/model sharing, and local-digital-twin delegation on top.
