Someone left your organization today
They had access to things. Credentials. Recovery keys. Signing authorities. System access instructions that existed inside their head as much as inside any documented system.
How much of that is now ungoverned?
Most #businesses have off boarding protocols. Revoking access to emails, to SaaS platforms, and to their VPN. Standard checklists items that get completed within hours of departure.
What the checklist does not capture is institutional knowledge embedded in how secrets were managed. The undocumented access. The informal credential sharing. The recovery key stored in a personal device because it was more convenient than the approved system.
Personnel transition is the most common trigger for critical secret exposure. Not breaches. Not attacks. People leaving.
The gap is not in the offboarding process. It is in the architecture that allowed secrets to be tied to individuals in the first place.
#Inheriti Business governs secrets at the organisational level, not the individual level. Role-based access means credentials survive the person who held them. Custodian shares mean no single departure creates an access gap.
The security risk you cannot patch is the one that walks out the door. Build the architecture that means it does not matter.
