More than 200 teams at Nubank use Nave today. And they don't all work the same way.
Different workflows, different practices, different ways of organizing their work. That's exactly the challenge Ceci Fernandes, Chief of Staff at Nubank, and the Global Productivity team were facing.
How do you help hundreds of teams improve without forcing all of them into the same process?
Ceci's team chose to preserve those differences. Instead of standardizing how teams work, they gave them a common way to understand how their work is performing.
Today, teams across Nubank use Nave to make their own decisions from evidence. They use the Aging Chart in their dailies to decide what needs attention before starting more work. They look at cycle time trends and outliers to understand whether the changes they're making are actually improving delivery. And they use Monte Carlo simulations to understand how much work they can realistically take on.
The workflows can be different. The evidence doesn't have to be.
Ceci put it beautifully: "One of our values at Nubank is building strong and diverse teams, and diverse teams work best in very different ways. Nave works great with that! Even teams that have very different workflows, practices and organization can get useful insight from Nave."
More than 200 teams making better decisions from their own evidence, without asking them to become 200 versions of the same team. That's an impressive thing to enable at scale.
Thanks, Ceci, for showing what enterprise-wide improvement can look like without sacrificing team autonomy.
For those working across dozens or hundreds of teams, how are you balancing team autonomy with the need to improve performance across the organization?
