When compliance becomes a data problem
FrieslandCampina operates multiple groundwater extraction wells. New regulations require hourly logging of groundwater levels and extraction flow rates, with immediate alerts when limits are exceeded.
The challenge is practical. Many wells are remote, and connecting them to existing SCADA or IT infrastructure would require significant cabling, civil works, and cost.
Together with Crodeon Technologies, Liquisens deployed autonomous monitoring units directly at the wells. The units are solar-powered, transmit data wirelessly, and operate without a local network.
Liquisens Insight adds the intelligence layer:
• Real-time visualization
• Smart alarm logic
• Centralized monitoring across all sites
• Automated monthly compliance reporting
The result is reliable hourly logging, faster response to deviations, lower infrastructure cost, and a solution that can scale to additional wells.
Not every digitalization project has to start with AI.
Sometimes it starts with getting compliance right, reliably and autonomously.
