I just turned 26 recently. Some of the people I sell to have been running businesses for longer than I've been alive. Some of the people I raise money from have built companies far bigger than anything I've built so far. And everyone we've hired is older than me. People expect me to say this age gap is awkward. It isn't. I've never found it awkward, and I've never had the sense the other side did either. It turns out people don't really care about your age when you know your stuff, understand their problem, and are comfortable hearing "no". Experience earns respect. So does knowing exactly what you're talking about and not flinching when someone pushes back. And in this industry, being young cuts the other way too! Tech moves fast, and a young team & product move with it by default. You can move quickly, question the status quo, and build with a clean slate. You don't need grey hair to be taken seriously. You need to give people no reason to look for it. 👶👴
