While Florence + the machine is singing “You’ve got the Love”, we’ve got the Power🔋
We're testing a new type of battery network this year, powering some of Pukkelpop’s key festival operations with green electricity, without extra diesel generators.
Together with KeyMotion, H.Essers and ExtraPower, we're deploying nine mobile battery containers. They're charged directly with renewable energy at H.Essers' site, then transported by electric truck to the festival grounds to swap depleted units for fully charged ones. Our software monitors the entire network in real time, so power supply stays guaranteed.
A great example of how mobile battery storage, originally built for construction sites without grid access, scales just as well to an event like Pukkelpop.
Swapping generators for batteries means less noise, more music.
