Burnout rarely announces itself. It builds quietly, over weeks or months, until it's hard to ignore. Soumya Ghosh, a Program Manager at Quickbase, had been there himself. So he built something to help teams catch the early signs โ€” and he built it in Pave. It's a lightweight daily check-in app he called ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ. At the end of the day, employees note things like stress, focus, and hours worked, and over time the app surfaces patterns โ€” say, that meeting-heavy days tend to drain energy, or interruption-heavy days drive up stress. What stands out is how carefully he designed it around trust: ๐Ÿ”’ Individual check-ins stay private to the employee ๐Ÿ“Š Managers see only aggregated, team-level trends, never personal responses โœ… Employees opt in before their data ever contributes to a team view And it doesn't diagnose anyone. It simply makes quiet patterns visible early enough to do something about them. Soumya isn't a developer. As he put it, "๐˜ ๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ฏ'๐˜ต ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ด๐˜ข๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฎ๐˜บ ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ง๐˜ฆ." He wrote down the problem he cared about, shaped it into clear prompts, and had a working app in about 12 hours. That's what Pave is for: letting the people closest to a problem build the solution themselves.
