I'm looking for a Chief of Staff. I'd rate myself an 11/10 for vision and speed, and maybe a 6/10 for focus. That gap is starting to cost us. Timefold just crossed 40 people and closed its Series A. We are scaling fast, and we don't have an operating system yet. I don't want to fix that by bolting on bureaucracy. I want someone who can build the structure, decision-making and operating rhythm that let us move even faster. I need someone who turns the founder energy into focus. Someone who'll tell me: "Maarten, we agreed these three things matter this quarter. This isn't one of them." This role has no direct reports. That's deliberate. It's not a management job, it's an influence job, and the influence has to be earned, not assigned. And you will own some of the hardest problems we have, not just help others solve them. Highly aligned with me. Fiercely independent of me. Someone who can disagree with me, and still help us move decisively once the decision is made. I have a feeling the right person may not have "Chief of Staff" on their CV today.
