
Maarten Vandenbroucke
Maarten Vandenbroucke is co-founder and chief executive of Timefold, which he co-founded in December 2022. He is based in Ghent and states expertise in AI, planning and operations research. Since August 2008 he has also been the owner of Big Jump Management.
He chaired the board of Peripass from October 2019 to July 2023, and between February 2019 and May 2022 he was VP corporate development at RightCrowd. Earlier he was chief executive of Ticto from September 2015 to January 2019, and of Realo during 2014. He served as a board member and coach at Bubble Post from July 2013 to September 2014, and as a board member of Behind The Buttons from May 2012 to October 2019. From August 2008 to February 2013 he was chief executive of Gatewing, having joined Newtec in January 2006 as director of customer training and documentation. He began his career as a consultant at Namahn in November 2003.
Vandenbroucke holds a master's degree in theoretical physics from Ghent University and studied at Vlerick Business School in 2007 and 2008. He completed a certified mediator programme at Promediation in 2022 and a three-year programme in professional communication and counselling psychology at Phoenix Opleidingen between 2021 and 2024.
