Today, we're announcing Timefold's $13M Series A, led by Alstin Capital, with participation from KOMPAS VC and continued support from Lakestar and Smartfin. A personal reflection. After more than 15 years building companies, I'd grown a little jaded about new startup ideas. The experience had also made me critical of the concepts pitched to me. Then some friends at Smartfin introduced me to Geoffrey De Smet. As he walked me through the technology behind what would become Timefold, I immediately saw something special: finally the kind of technology that tackles a problem that affects millions of people every day. Myself included. As the father of four daughters, I am hyper-aware that time is our most precious resource. 💖 And as a physicist by training, I liked the power and beauty of the tech a lot! 😊 Our mission at Timefold is simple: free the world from wasteful scheduling. Every unnecessary hour spent driving, every inefficient shift, every scheduling conflict is time that could be spent creating more value, serving customers better, or simply being with the people who matter most. What started as a conviction has now become a company trusted by enterprises around the world and a growing community of software builders embedding scheduling & optimization into their products. This funding allows us to accelerate that mission. To our customers, partners and investors: thank you for believing in what we're building.
