Everyone wants clean water. Nobody wants to talk about the sludge. Yet sludge often determines whether a wastewater treatment system is truly practical to operate. That's why we're excited to explore a collaboration between Noah Water Solutions and Cranfield University. At Noah, we've been developing electrocoagulation technology to simplify wastewater treatment and improve performance. At Cranfield, the team behind the Circular Toilet has acquired in-depth expertise in biosolids treatment through the application of pioneering technologies during the development of this reinvented toilet. The idea is simple: combine both areas of knowledge and look at the treatment process as a whole. Because producing clean water is only part of the story. If the resulting sludge is difficult to handle, you've simply shifted the challenge somewhere else. Our goal is to develop treatment approaches that deliver not only strong treatment results, but also maximum operational comfort for the end user: ✅ Efficient wastewater treatment ✅ Easier sludge handling ✅ Less operational hassle Because the best wastewater systems are the ones people don't have to think about. Achieving that requires looking beyond individual unit operations and understanding how water treatment and sludge management influence each other.
