Association between self-reported breast cancer knowledge and clinical trial participation in patients with triple-negative breast cancer
Nearly half of patients with stage I–III triple-negative #BreastCancer (TNBC) reported participating in clinical trials, with participation higher among those receiving neoadjuvant therapy🧪 and patients with stage II disease. Although TNBC knowledge was not associated with trial participation, many patients inaccurately understood their tumor characteristics and recurrence risk.
✅The findings highlight persistent gaps in patient education and the need to better understand and address barriers to clinical trial participation.
