Most tournament software comparisons miss the questions that actually cost money.
Features are easy to compare.
The real differences are elsewhere:
💰 0% platform commission, or a cut of every payment?
🔒 Your player data. Can you export it when you leave?
🏷️ White-label, or your logo on someone else's platform?
⏱️ Ready in 7 days, or a 12–36 month software project?
🛠️ "24h support": response time or resolution time?
And then there's everything around the subscription:
Setup. Payments. Messaging. Automation. Maintenance. Migration. Custom work.
We turned the buying process into 12 questions to ask before choosing tournament management software.
One rule matters more than the rest:
If a vendor doesn't publish the answer, don't assume it. Ask for it in writing.
Full checklist, published pricing, and the 5-year cost comparison: around €38,000–42,000 white-label vs €450,000–750,000 custom build.
