Setra returns to operating profit in Q2
Lower timber costs and efficiency gains helped the Swedish wood-products company improve sharply.
Setra reported Q2 operating profit of SEK 15 million, compared with a SEK 60 million loss one year earlier.
Net sales rose to SEK 1.579 billion, while EBITDA improved to SEK 68 million. The company credited lower timber prices and internal efficiency work.
For Nordic sawmills, this is a positive result, but still a cautious one. Setra says the expected increase in sawnwood prices has not materialised.
