Delta was a Ghent-based cryptocurrency and investment portfolio tracker app founded in 2017 by Lorenz Bogaert, Nicolas Van Eenaeme, and Nicolas Van Hoorde, acquired by eToro in November 2019.
Delta was founded in 2017 and launched on 1 October 2017 as a cryptocurrency portfolio tracking application. The app aggregated positions across 6,000+ crypto assets and 180+ exchanges, giving retail investors a unified view of their holdings. By the time of its acquisition, the app had 1.5 million downloads and hundreds of thousands of active monthly users.
Co-founders included Lorenz Bogaert and Nicolas Van Eenaeme of the Massive Media and StarApps network, alongside Nicolas Van Hoorde, who served as CEO. The team was based in Ghent, Belgium.
eToro, the global multi-asset investment platform, acquired Delta in November 2019 for approximately $5M. The Delta team continued operating from Belgium as part of eToroX, eToro's crypto division. Post-acquisition, the product broadened beyond crypto to cover stocks, funds, and other asset classes, becoming a general investment tracker.
The acquisition is notable as one of the earlier Belgian Fintech exits in the crypto space, predating the broader wave of Belgian crypto exits in the 2020s.
