Sphere Defense was incorporated on 3 December 2025 in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Brussels. The company describes its founding team as drone industry veterans with international experience, positioning itself as a fully European-developed and manufactured counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) provider.
The product is a multi-role interceptor designed for kinetic intercept of strike drones and point defense of power plants, ports, airports, and government or military sites. Key features include minimal logistical footprint, maintenance-free operation, EW-hardened radio datalink, and AI-driven autonomous guidance. The system is designed as an effector layer cued by third-party detection and command-and-control, slotting into larger layered C-UAS architectures rather than acting as a standalone solution.
Sphere Defense publicly debuted its system at BEDEX 2026, the Belgian defense industry exhibition. The launch coincides with significant European procurement activity in counter-drone capabilities, with Belgium also engaging Origin Robotics, Anduril, COBBS, and Nokia for related programs. As a very young company, Sphere Defense has not yet published financial statements.
