Overview

BeCentral opened in 2017 inside the Victor Horta-designed Brussels Central Station building. Established by over 60 entrepreneurs and co-founded with Robin Wauters, the campus sits at the crossroads of Brussels' startup, education, and policy worlds.

The campus spans 10,500 sqm and brings together approximately 1,000 people daily from 72 nationalities. Residents include Google Atelier, Le Wagon (coding bootcamp), BeCode (digital skills training for job seekers), 42 Belgium, FARI (the AI and Robotics Institute for Society, a joint initiative of VUB and ULB), Proximus Ada, an ESA accelerator, and We Are Founders.

BeCentral hosts a consistent program of hackathons, pitch events, and technical workshops, making it one of the most active event venues in the Brussels tech community.

Omar Mohout previously chaired the BeCentral board.
