QBIC
Belgian inter-university deep-tech fund backed by UGent, VUB, UAntwerp, UHasselt, ULiege, Flemish Institute for Technological Research, imec, and partner hospitals.
QBIC is a consortium-backed Venture Capital fund that channels university and research institute deal flow into investable deep-tech companies. Fund III was launched in 2025, continuing a mandate that brings together six Belgian universities, Flemish Institute for Technological Research, imec, and a set of partner hospitals.
The fund's broad institutional backing gives it access to spin-off opportunities across Flanders and Wallonia. Portfolio companies are typically early-stage, emerging from PhD research or lab spin-outs.
