
Jean Derely
Jean Derely founded BetaGroup, one of the foundational communities of the Brussels tech scene, before relocating to Spain.
Jean Derely is described as "one of the true quiet heroes of the Brussels tech story." He founded BetaGroup in 2008, which became a key gathering point for the early Brussels startup community. In 2009 he co-founded Betacowork, a tech coworking space in Brussels, alongside Ramon Suarez, and in 2011 he co-founded WooRank, a SaaS web audit platform. In 2012 he passed leadership of BetaGroup to Julie Foulon before eventually relocating to Spain.
