Jens Verhiest
Jens Verhiest is co-founder of Karomia, a Ghent-based SaaS startup that automates CSRD and ESG reporting for companies subject to European sustainability disclosure rules, backed by imec.istart.
Jens co-founded Karomia in 2024 alongside Simon Hiel. He holds a Master of Science in Business Engineering from Ghent University and previously worked at Accenture, Skipr, Lab Box, and Luckycycle. Karomia raised EUR 2 million from imec.istart, Entourage, and the imec.istart Future Fund.
The platform allows companies to upload ESG documents and automatically generate CSRD or VSME-compliant reports, achieving a claimed 90% workload reduction. Karomia has helped over 45 companies in Europe and the US comply with CSRD, and was nominated for the 2025 Deloitte Belgium Rising Star Award.
