Van Der Auwera co-founded FibriCheck (operating as Qompium BV) in 2014 alongside Lars Grieten and Bieke Van Gorp. FibriCheck holds CE marking as a Class IIa medical device and was the first cardiac rhythm monitoring app to receive FDA clearance in the US. The company has raised EUR 12.6M+ across six funding rounds.
