
Karen Boers
Karen Boers co-founded Startups.be and BeCode, shaped Belgium's national startup and tech education infrastructure, and now heads the FARI AI Centre for the Common Good at ULB-VUB.
Karen Boers is a serial impact entrepreneur with over a decade building the institutional Backbone Agency of Belgian tech. She co-founded and served as Managing Director of Startups.be, the national startup support organisation. She also co-founded BeCode, the social impact coding school, and was instrumental in launching BeCentral, the Brussels digital campus. She is recognised as one of the most influential figures in Belgian tech and appeared on the Inspiring Fifty Europe 2022 list. She now heads FARI, the joint ULB-VUB AI Centre for the Common Good.
