Vanessa Counaert

Counaert co-founded Resortecs in Brussels in 2017 alongside Cedric Vanhoeck. The company developed Smart Stitch, a heat-dissolvable stitching thread that allows garments to be automatically disassembled in a thermal chamber, enabling cleaner material recovery for recycling without mechanical cutting. Resortecs has raised EUR 8.7M in total funding and addresses a fundamental bottleneck in textile circularity.
