Overview
2Grow helps greenhouse vegetable growers gain control over their crops through prediction models that show how plants will perform 48 hours ahead using sapflow and stem diameter data. The platform provides daily reports to help growers evaluate the impact of climate actions on plants and improve growth efficiency.

- 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗜𝗦 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗥𝗔 𝗜𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗗?Using plant diameter sensors at a tomato grower, we repeatedly observed a clear stagnation in plant recovery around the same time in the evening. There were several indications that this stagnation was irrigation-related. In consultation with the grower, we therefore decided to apply an additional irrigation around the time when stagnation had repeatedly occurred. 📈 The result? In the days that followed, the previous stagnation was no longer visible,
- Advancing our research on smart irrigation in pear trees 🍐💧 Together with Proefcentrum Fruitteelt (pcfruit vzw), we are conducting trials to explore how branch diameter measurements can help guide irrigation decisions. By monitoring pear trees under different irrigation levels, we are gaining practical experience in linking plant measurements to water needs, with the goal of supporting more precise and efficient irrigation advice for fruit growers. Thanks to Quantified Sensor Technology, the sensor data is transmitted wirelessly,
- We're happy to welcome Amir to 2Grow for his internship. Over the coming months, he will be working on practical research into smart irrigation of fruit trees using plant sensor data. By monitoring the plant itself, we aim to gain better insights into irrigation needs and support more efficient water management in fruit production. We're looking forward to working together and wish you the best of luck during your internship! #Internship #AgriTech #SmartIrrigation #FruitGrowing #PlantSensors #PrecisionAgriculture
- Discover our plant sensors. At 2Grow, we believe the plant itself is one of the most valuable sources of information for cultivation decisions. That's why we use sensors to measure the plant's direct response to its environment and cultivation practices. Our technology helps growers: - Gain objective, plant-based data for cultivation decisions. - Understand how plants respond to irrigation and climate. - Translate sensor data into practical actions with expert support. Whether it's stem diameter, sap flow or leaf thickness,
- When reducing irrigation isn't the best decision. During last week's heat wave (+30°C), a grower in Switzerland decided to reduce irrigation to protect root quality. The result? Our stem diameter sensors immediately showed continuous shrinkage, indicating the plants were under water stress. The data made the difference: irrigation was quickly increased again, preventing unnecessary stress during one of the hottest periods of the season. Make better decisions based on the plant’s response.
- At The Valley Growers, growers noticed their plants were becoming too generative and adjusted the day/night temperature difference and fertilization strategy to restore balance. While no visual changes were visible yet, 2Grow sensors already showed that the adjustments were working. The sensor data gave them the confidence not to intervene further. A few days later, the crop itself confirmed it: the desired growth response was clearly visible. “We were inclined to keep making adjustments because we couldn't see any visible
