Cuez is a cloud-based newsroom, rundown and automation platform for live productions. Its products are Rundown for collaborative scripts and rundowns, Automator for no-code control of studio equipment, Storydesk as a newsroom content system, plus Blockz, Browz and a MOS Connector. The company serves news, sports, esports, entertainment, universities, live events and worship, and integrates with EVS, Blackmagic, Panasonic, Yamaha, vMix, Ross and Vizrt hardware and software. The company was founded in 2015 and previously operated as TinkerList, having started as bvba Boenk.be. Founder Erik Hauters worked 15 years as a TV director at Woestijnvis and built the tool after going freelance. Hauters is Chief Product Officer; Jens De Maere is CEO, Aaron Nuytemans is Chief Revenue Officer, Tijl Claessens is Chief Technology Officer and Kristof Beckers is Chief Financial Officer. The European headquarters is at Sluisstraat 79 in Leuven and there is a US office in Fairfield, New Jersey. The company has 11-50 employees and hires in Belgium and the USA. In 2016 Tom Lenaerts, Bart Cannaerts and Kathleen Maes put €100,000 into the company, with iMinds also investing. In 2020 the company raised around €1,000,000 in growth financing: €850,000 through The CoFoundry, a bank loan and SME co-financing, plus €222,000 in crowdlending via WinWinner.
