- DPP continuity is easiest to solve before the integration hardens. Agree the retained representation, product and version references, supporting evidence, access policy and handover route at design time. Those decisions cross the DPP platform, product-data provider and economic operator. Docbyte provides the independent preservation layer behind that operational flow. More detail is in the comments. #DigitalProductPassport #DataArchitecture
- A DPP continuity design is not finished until five questions have concrete owners and answers: • What exactly must remain retrievable? • Which evidence and schema context must travel with it? • How is the applicable version identified? • Who can retrieve it if the primary platform is unavailable? • What happens during a provider change or insolvency? Our short checklist helps teams test those decisions. Link in the comments. #DigitalProductPassport #DataContinuity
- Docbyte comic Vol.3: The Static is live. Wilbert has spent years keeping legacy systems alive. Then came the dashboards and AI. The Static follows Wilbert into his new life. Read Volume 3 in the first comment. #Docbyte #TheStatic #DigitalTrust #DigitalPreservation
- Fundamentals of Digital Preservation. Full house today for the Docbyte Vault Fundamentals training. A motivated group of users and partners, wanting to learn more about the concepts of Digital Preservation and eArchiving, its standards and regulations and what information should be collected. Our partner AMEXIO was in attendance with a big cohort. #eArchiving #dps
- The Static is coming. On Page 2, Wilbert sees what "faster" can mean when experience is no longer asked for. The next Docbyte story follows a systems expert who is made to feel obsolete. #Docbyte #TheStatic
- A valid hash does not give you a usable Digital Product Passport. It can prove that a specific version existed and remained intact. But if the live platform disappears, a regulator or successor provider still needs the passport data, version context, supporting documents and access rules. DPP evidence and DPP continuity are related controls. They are not the same control. The DPP continuity page is in the comments. #DigitalProductPassport #DigitalEvidence
