FN Herstal is headquartered in Liege, Wallonia, and is one of Belgium's oldest industrial manufacturers. The company produces small arms and ammunition for military, law enforcement, and sporting markets worldwide. Its weapons systems are used by armed forces across NATO member states and beyond.
FN Herstal has been awarded a EUR 1.3B NATO ammunition contract, reflecting its continued strategic role in European defense supply chains at a time when NATO member states are accelerating procurement. The company employs over 3000 people and is a major employer in the Liege industrial basin.
FN Herstal is a subsidiary of the Herstal Group, which is fully owned by the Walloon regional holding company SOGEPA.
