- It was a pleasure to bring our Dutch clients together for a product workshop in Amsterdam. It felt like a fitting contrast to present AI features and gather feedback within the majestic rooms of De Bazel - Amsterdam, an iconic national monument dating back to 1926. The workshop sparked constructive conversations among like-minded people facing the same challenges. As a group, we identified opportunities to continue improving the legal due diligence process. A big thank you to everyone that was present and to those who tried to
- Tomorrow at 11am CEST, we’re hosting a webinar with Saga. Rather than just talking about how AI can support M&A, we’ll actually run through a transaction together, from due diligence all the way through to post-closing work. We'll be taking you through the Jurimesh side of things, including project management, identifying risks and generating the DD report. From there, Saga will pick things up and show what can happen with those findings across the rest of the transaction workflow. This is a really good example of how point solutions
- Paper 2 of The W&I Series is out today. This one is from the broker's seat. A conversation with Peter Zwijnenburg, who leads the regional team at Aon, on how the market actually reads a transaction. A few takeaways: - Good diligence won't buy you a cheaper policy: pricing is barely driven by how diligence was performed. What it does drive is exclusions and inclusions. - Your adviser's caution becomes the insurer's exclusion: if an adviser is uncertain and recommends asking for an indemnity, that can de facto become an exclusion
- We just did a MASSIVE upgrade to our issue spotting algorithm in Jurimesh. AI review in due diligence has always worked document by document. One contract in, a list of issues out. But understanding how every contract, party and clause connects to each other is crucial in separating the wheat from the chaff. So we changed how it works. Agents now go through the entire data room, compare notes with each other, conduct proper legal research with trusted sources and connect everything together. What that gives you: - Risks that
- Yesterday Brussels closed an entire forest because of a storm, and 300 dealmakers took a boat to an island in the middle of it anyway. Luckily there was great food, great conversations and our very own Pieter-Jan on the decks. There are worse places to get stuck 🙃 And just like the predicted storm in the PE market: turned out to be nothing more than a drizzle. M&A Community Belgium: same island next year?
- We will be hosting an online webinar with Saga on 9 September at 11:00 CET on 'Connecting due diligence with the wider M&A workflow' Due diligence is only one part of the transaction. The real value comes from what happens next: turning identified risks, findings and recommendations into concrete action across the wider M&A process. In this webinar, we’ll demonstrate how our specialised due diligence capabilities work together with Saga's broader legal AI platform to connect due diligence findings with the work that follows (e.g.
- Two weeks to close. A VDR that wasn’t functioning properly. And a lot of pressure to get things done. We’d been building data room features that let sellers upload documents and complete the IRL queries directly in Jurimesh. Andersen gave us the chance to see those features battle tested in a real deal, real fast. Although the CEO’s contracts arrived at a late stage in the DD, critical issues surfaced almost instantly, which helped the team make decisions much faster. As Koen de Puydt, Managing Partner of Andersen in Belgium, put it:
- Two weeks to close. Troubles with the VDR. Now what? Lucky for Andersen: we'd been building data room features that let sellers upload and fill the IRL directly in Jurimesh. Lucky for us: we got tested in the real world, real fast. It made us even more confident the most efficient DD is run in one place. When the CEO's contracts arrived late, critical issues surfaced instantly, helping the team make decisions much faster. “We treat the agent as one of our collaborators. And honestly, it sometimes surfaces things we wouldn't have
