Overview
Jorrit co-founded Jurimesh in 2023 with Jasper De Moor, his co-founder from an unconventional origin: they met through Bumble's business networking mode. Jorrit is a computer science student from Leuven with a specialization in AI, who developed AI projects before founding the company. Jurimesh automates M&A due diligence end-to-end, integrating with virtual data rooms to categorize and analyze legal documents automatically.
The company raised EUR 1.6M in a pre-seed round led by Syndicate One, and counts leading law firms including Andersen and Grant Thornton as clients. Jurimesh integrates with Virtual Vaults for streamlined legal due diligence workflows.

- Tomorrow at 11am CEST, we’re hosting a webinar with Saga. Rather than just talking about how AI can support M&A, we’ll actually run through a transaction together, from due diligence all the way through to post-closing work. We'll be taking you through the Jurimesh side of things, including project management, identifying risks and generating the DD report. From there, Saga will pick things up and show what can happen with those findings across the rest of the transaction workflow. This is a really good example of how point solutions
- Part two of The W&I Series launched today. This time, we spoke to Peter Zwijnenburg from Aon about the broker’s perspective on how due diligence actually translates into W&I cover. A few takeaways: - Good diligence won't buy you a cheaper policy: pricing is barely driven by how diligence was performed. What it does drive is exclusions and inclusions. - Your adviser's caution becomes the insurer's exclusion: if an adviser is uncertain and recommends asking for an indemnity, that can de facto become an exclusion under the policy.
- Two weeks to close. A VDR that wasn’t functioning properly. And a lot of pressure to get things done. We’d been building data room features that let sellers upload documents and complete the IRL queries directly in Jurimesh. Andersen gave us the chance to see those features battle tested in a real deal, real fast. Although the CEO’s contracts arrived at a late stage in the DD, critical issues surfaced almost instantly, which helped the team make decisions much faster. As Koen de Puydt, Managing Partner of Andersen in Belgium, put it:
- When a lawyer writes a due diligence finding, the instinct is to be cautious. Rate the risk high, recommend a specific indemnity, flag everything. On an insured deal, that instinct can backfire. An overly conservative rating signals to the underwriter that you are not comfortable with the risk, so they are not either, and it gets excluded. The caution meant to protect the buyer is what removes their cover. The opposite also holds. A report that openly says three contracts were missing from the data room is more insurable than
- When people picture an M&A deal, they picture four parties. Buyer, seller, and a law firm on each side. But on most European transactions above €20 million, and on nearly every PE to PE deal, there are at least two more people at the table. A broker and an underwriter. The underwriter reads the DD report closely and decides from it who carries the loss if a warranty turns out to be false. Which has consequences most people never see. How a finding is worded, how a risk is rated, what the report admits it could not check, all of it
- Everyone's launching an MCP these days, so we figured we couldn't stay behind either 😎 On a more serious note: this MCP launch isn't a random feature, it fits a vision we've had since day one. We made a conscious bet early on at Jurimesh to go deep on one niche process, legal due diligence, instead of going broad. The underlying models get better every month, so what do you build that still holds up once Anthropic or OpenAI take another leap forward? We believe it's pragmatic, field-tested knowledge of what actually matters in a
- At the PE hackathon from WAD Capital, glad to be a partner with Jurimesh, together with Lovable, openthebox, Herspective, North Star, and FINTECH BELGIUM 🙌 Great energy in the room. Cool to see so many people skip their Saturday to actually build something
