Founded in 2024 in Ghent, Karomia targets the specific challenge of Double Materiality Assessments, a mandatory analysis that CSRD-regulated companies must conduct to identify which sustainability topics are material to their business from both a financial impact and environmental or social impact perspective.
The assessment process is complex, requiring stakeholder engagement, data collection across multiple dimensions, and structured documentation. Karomia's platform guides companies through this process systematically, reducing the consulting cost and time typically required to complete a compliant assessment.
With EUR 2.1M raised, Karomia has early funding to establish itself in a regulatory-driven market that will grow significantly as CSRD obligations expand to cover more European companies over the next few years.
