Kasqade is a video AI platform for SMB manufacturing that identifies production issues like stoppages, slowdowns, and jams live from cameras already installed on factory floors. - Most manufacturing statistics on the internet are made up. I mean this literally. While I was raising Kasqade's preseed round I traced commonly quoted downtime and waste numbers back to their sources. The trail often ends at a vendor blog citing another vendor blog citing the first one. One of the few real datasets I found: ABB and Sapio Research asked 3,600 industrial decision makers. The results: - 44% have unplanned stoppages at least monthly - 14% weekly And that's a survey of big companies, the local manufacturing shops
