- E-bike insurance in Flanders lacking, survey finds. Although more than half of working residents of Flanders, Belgium, own an e-bike, almost two-thirds of these have not insured their bike against theft, according to a survey commissioned by insurance broker Callant Insurance & Credits. https://buff.ly/kk7xHE5
- Gig economy contributes to battery fire risk, report finds. A new report, Powering the UK Gig Economy Safely, co-published by charity Electrical Safety First and UCL (University College London), has concluded that the danger associated with battery fires is strongly related to the gig economy business model, which increases the likelihood of workers purchasing non-compliant, substandard conversion kits and charging equipment. https://buff.ly/k4HIMaF
- France announces purchase subsidy for electric L6 and L7 vehicles. The French Economic and Financial Ministries have announced a subsidy of up to €2,000 for the purchase of L6 and L7 vehicles assembled in Europe, intended for households and businesses.
