- Most AI projects start with the wrong question. "Can we use AI here?" sounds strategic. It isn't. The better question is older, simpler, and a lot harder to answer honestly: what problem are we actually solving? - Figma Config 2026 just wrapped, and the whole platform is being rebuilt around one idea: design isn’t just UI. It’s code, motion, 3D, whatever the work needs. - Even robots have to keep updating. Our design team meets regularly to ask where AI actually makes their work better. Last week we dedicated two separate meetings to one question: are we using AI well, or just using it? Designers on one side, developers on the other. Frederik Jacques joined the dev team to talk agent loops, guardrails, and keeping the quality bar exactly where it belongs. Still working on it. Always will be. 🤖
