- Our new paper on volume change measurements with DIC has just been released as a preprint on Zenodo: https://lnkd.in/eXWHdnmW. The idea was to use two back-to-back stereo DIC systems to obtain through-thickness strains by displacement differences over the two faces. This idea is not original as it was first published in a pioneering article in Strain in 2011 on metals (DOI:10.1111/j.1475-1305.2008.00600.x) but for large axial displacements like those taking place in elastomers, the stereo-DIC systems need to be registered very

Participants explored the fundamentals and unique capabilities of DIC through a combination of theoretical lectures, in-depth data analysis, and experimental demonstrations.
