Overview
Founded in 2024, Rookoo enters the hospitality AI space with tools designed to handle the high volume of repetitive communication and operational coordination tasks that occupy hotel, restaurant, and accommodation staff. The product covers use cases like automated guest messaging, booking management support, and FAQ handling across multiple channels.
Hospitality is an industry where AI automation has clear ROI potential given the labor intensity of guest-facing operations and the predictable nature of many guest interactions. Rookoo targets independent hotels and smaller hospitality groups that cannot afford enterprise-level solutions.

- Bowling? Check. E-karting? Check. Karaoke after a few drinks? Probably a great idea. At Burney’s in Mechelen, there's no shortage of ways to get a group together. And if getting everyone there is already a challenge, they've even got their own bus! Safe to say, these guys know a thing or two about group events. We're happy to have them in the Rookoo family! Welcoming Burney’s to the Rookoo Venue Club. Our Play Series is off to a good start.
- We're named after the sound a pigeon makes, so we know a thing or two about what lands on a window. In a venue it’s the guest count revised by email and the change at 22:40 on WhatsApp, and somebody has to clean it up before event day. That’s what we take off the team’s hands, from the first enquiry through to aftercare. Let us handle the sh*t. You focus on the experience. Find us on stand KS1 at Event Tech Live, Excel London on 11 and 12 November. Look for the team in blue pigeon fancier robes!
- Big Ben has a pigeon problem. We're about to make it worse. The Rookoo flock is heading to Event Tech Live in London! We'll be at stand KS1, talking about how venue teams can spend less time buried in admin and more time doing what they do best: hosting brilliant events.
- A unique venue for an unforgettable event.” Plenty of venues could have written that sentence, and plenty did! We read the opening line of 310 venue listings in four languages. 51% relied on generic promotional language, and only 20% included a fact an organiser could check, like a capacity or the distance from the station. “A former printing house for 150 seated guests, 5 minutes from the station” gives the organiser, and the AI summarising their shortlist, something to work with. - Every venue has something that makes it different. So why do so many descriptions sound the same? 🤔 For the second edition of Behind the Booking, we analysed the opening sentences of 310 event venue listings across four languages. 51% relied on generic promotional words. Only 20% mentioned a concrete, verifiable detail about the venue. Read the full edition below, including how venue descriptions compare with the way people search.
- Your next event request might come from an AI agent. This morning I spoke at the GentCongres session in the Wintercircus Ghent about exactly that. 75% of event planners already use AI to find venues. So what does an agent actually read on your website? “Atmospheric historic hall with excellent service” tells an agent nothing. “Theater 120, banquet 80, 3 breakouts, 60 parking spots, 5 minutes from Gent-Sint-Pieters” Might get you on the shortlist. The venues in the room this morning are now one step ahead. Thanks Stephanie,
- Mondays don’t usually get much love. The Clays team has started looking forward to theirs. ☕️ That’s when Peggy’s report comes in, with a look at the conversations their digital colleague has had with guests and the pain points that keep coming up. Dan Marshall, Product Owner at Clays, uses it to build the team’s processes around what guests actually run into. Swipe through for Dan’s take.
- If this week was all about last-minute headcount changes and early Christmas party enquiries, this one's for you. 🎁 Before you log off, here’s a little Friday gift from us: Venue Skills, free skills that help AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude find your venue. The first one creates an AI information page for your website, listing the capacity of every space and answering common guest questions. It's free, and there are more on the way. Have a lovely weekend! https://lnkd.in/e_J9AFPp
