Jeroen co-founded Rookoo in 2024 alongside Anthony Meirlaen, Thibaut Vincent, and Jared Dierickx, all of whom met while working at Clarabridge and Qualtrics. In November 2025 the company raised EUR 900K in seed funding.
Rookoo's AI assistants handle event administration, capacity management, pricing optimisation, and stakeholder communications. Early clients include Wintercircus Ghent, Tour and Taxis Brussels, Brussels Special Venues, SPIN, and The Arena Group.

That made me curious, so I dove into the data and looked at everything that has come in for next year so far. A few things stood out: January has drawn the most early interest, with 24% of the 2027 date requests we could identify. March comes next at 16%. Five weeks alone account for about 30%: the weeks beginning 18 and 25 January, 1 and 15 March, and 31 May.

Of course we took a look on the other side: We ran 164 venue websites through our Venue Scan and checked how clearly each one explains the basics an organiser needs to build a shortlist. - We checked the opening sentences of venue descriptions across four languages. About half used generic promotional language. Only one in five included a fact you could check. Then I got curious: are people actually searching for the words venues use to describe themselves? We compared Google results with five years of relative search interest across six markets. Words like “unique” appeared regularly in the results. But interest in searching for those words was much lower than for generic venue terms, particularly in Belgium and
- Your next event request might come from an AI agent. This morning I spoke at the GentCongres session in the Wintercircus Ghent about exactly that. 75% of event planners already use AI to find venues. So what does an agent actually read on your website? “Atmospheric historic hall with excellent service” tells an agent nothing. “Theater 120, banquet 80, 3 breakouts, 60 parking spots, 5 minutes from Gent-Sint-Pieters” Might get you on the shortlist.
