Founded in 2016 in Leuven, Sitemark builds AI software that processes aerial imagery from drones and satellites to automate inspection and monitoring of solar farms and large construction sites. The platform extracts actionable insights from aerial data, including panel-level fault detection on solar installations and progress tracking on construction projects.
With $9.1M raised, Sitemark serves asset owners, EPCs (engineering, procurement, and construction companies), and O&M (operations and maintenance) providers in the renewable energy sector. The solar inspection market is growing rapidly as the global installed base of utility-scale solar expands and asset owners seek to reduce manual inspection costs.
The Leuven location places Sitemark near the KU Leuven research ecosystem and Belgium's growing cleantech startup cluster.
