Overview
Founded in 2017 by Valeri Potchekailov and co-founders Brik De Maeyer and Gregory Claeyssens, StoryChief was built out of the founders' five years of experience running a marketing agency. They observed firsthand the fragmentation and inefficiency of managing content across channels, teams, and tools, and built StoryChief as the single source of truth for content marketing operations.
The platform covers the full content lifecycle: strategy, editorial calendar, collaborative writing, AI-assisted content creation, multi-channel distribution (social, email, CMS), and analytics. It serves content teams at startups and mid-sized companies, primarily in the US and Europe.
By 2024, StoryChief had 5,000 customers across 70 countries and 27 employees. The company raised EUR 3.4M in 2022 from Capricorn Partners (via the Capricorn Digital Growth Fund), with participation from existing investors Peak and several angels. Total funding is approximately EUR 7.5M across multiple rounds.

- Most employee advocacy programs fail before anyone shares a post. Not because people do not care. Because sharing creates work. They have to understand the news, find the right angle, write something in their own words, and wonder whether the message is actually approved. So the update gets announced. A handful of people repost it. Then it disappears from the feed. A better approach is to package the story before you ask anyone to amplify it: • Explain why the update matters • Give people a clear message they can stand behind •
- Your content calendar may not be the bottleneck. Your approval process might be. The slowdowns usually happen when: • Nobody owns the final yes • Feedback lives across tools • Reviewers see the work too late • Small edits restart the whole loop • Approval stops before distribution This carousel shows five practical fixes to keep content moving without constant chasing. - AI search is changing the rules of organic visibility. Ranking on Google is no longer the whole game. Your content also needs to be clear, authoritative, and useful enough for AI engines to cite you as a source. The problem? Most teams don’t know: → What their buyers are actually asking → Where they’re missing from AI answers → Which existing pages need an update → What content they should create next With StoryChief, you can turn those signals into a prioritized content plan — backed by the SEO and search data you already use. - The fastest way to waste a content planning meeting is to start with a blank calendar. You will fill the slots. Everyone will leave with tasks. Then, a week later, somebody will ask why this topic made the list in the first place. Before choosing a title, make the idea pass this simple test: Can you finish this sentence? “We are creating this for [specific audience] because they are trying to [job or problem], and we have [evidence] that it matters now.” For example: “We are creating this for agency account managers because they
