Overview
Textile ETP is the European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing. Its purpose is to match the research and innovation needs of European textile and clothing companies, associations and clusters with the scientific and technological capacity of universities, research organisations and technology developers. Since 2013 it has run as an international non-profit association under Belgian law, enterprise number 0524.876.007, with premises at Rue Belliard 40 in Brussels. Marina Crnoja-Cosic is president and Lutz Walter is secretary general. Euratex, Textranet, EU-Textile 2030 and Netfas are the four full members, alongside associate and networking members paying annual fees of 500 and 200 euro excluding VAT. Since 2023 Textile ETP has coordinated three innovation hubs, covering circular and biobased textiles, smart textiles under the SmartX name and digitalisation under DigitX. It co-manages the Textiles of the Future European Partnership under Horizon Europe and wrote its Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda, published in July 2024. It also takes part in EU-funded projects including CISUTAC, SOLSTICE, PESCO-UP, Skills4Circularity and MELANGE.
