Overview
Alessandro Brunetti is the founder and CEO of iQrypto, which he founded in November 2021, and is based in Mons. Since May 2021 he has also worked at UMONS as an EU Office project manager, and he took up a lecturing post there running from October 2024 to June 2026.
Between March 2020 and February 2023 he was a director at Absensing. He was previously a business development and sales engineer at Caeleste from 2018 to 2020, a senior electronics engineer at Sharp Laboratories of Europe in 2018, and an R&D pixel design engineer at LFoundry from 2016 to 2018. Earlier he was an IC designer at AWAIBA CMOS Image Sensors, a process engineer at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, a firmware engineer intern at N-lab, and a police officer for the Comune di Bacoli from 2003 to 2005.
Brunetti was a Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Oxford from 2013 to 2016 and a teaching assistant there from 2015 to 2017. He completed a doctorate in electronic engineering at Oxford, a master's degree in nanotechnology at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, and a master's degree in electronic engineering at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
