Overview

He then joined an air conditioning manufacturer, where he helped optimise logistics planning. Two years later he moved to a software company specialising in route planning and transport optimisation, where he wrote algorithms and worked on project management and on bringing SaaS software to market.

OPTIORYX BV was registered on 15 April 2022 with its seat in Ghent, listing Gadeyne and Vandewiele as directors from that date and Degraeve from October 2024, with Gadeyne charged with day-to-day management. The company began from an AI-driven 3D stacking system that Gadeyne calls a kind of 3D Tetris, reached its first commercial success in 2021, and in November 2025 packaged its work as Warehouse Optimization Software under two products, Pulse for picking, slotting, cartonization and palletization, and Flux for mobile data capture. Customers include Van Moer Logistics, Bleckmann and Stow International. Network Venture Partners took a minority stake in August 2024 for an undisclosed amount. Optioryx sits in the imec.istart portfolio, was named Supply Chain Start-Up of the Year in 2023 by Supply Chain Masters and PICS Belgium, and works with Deloitte, Zetes and Socius24.
