Overview
Dries Vandevyvere is based in Kruishoutem and is the founder of Proj3ctS, which he started in July 2019. Since January 2026 he has held the interim role of director of digital transformation at Hogeschool VIVES, and since October 2025 he has worked on growth and partnerships at Eye on Data. He has taught project management at KU Leuven Ghent Campus since September 2022 and at EHSAL Management School since September 2019, and has been a business mentor at Ambits since March 2021.
From November 2023 to August 2025 he was CIO at ECS. Between September 2020 and June 2023 he worked at Galapagos on IT strategic projects, as head of business-wide platforms and as head of SAP. He was an IT project manager at Itineris from 2014 to 2017 and again in 2020, and at Ablynx from 2017 to 2020. Earlier roles included project management positions at Dow Chemical and Umicore, consultancy work at Yara, and analyst, consultant and manager roles at Accenture between 2005 and 2014.
He studied civil engineering with a computer science specialisation at Ghent University and took a master in general management at Vlerick Business School.

- De maquette op de Connection Tour is geen demo-opstelling: De sensor die erin zit is dezelfde die straks bij een aannemer op de werf hangt. Dat vind ik het mooie aan dit project. Buildwise leent die kits uit aan zijn leden, ook aan de kleinere aannemers die zelf nooit aan IoT zouden beginnen. Geen installatie, geen voorkennis, gewoon een duidelijk dashboard met temperatuur, vochtigheid en dauwpunt. De bouwsector zit op vlak van digitalisering achteraan in het peloton. Je verandert dat niet met een visienota, wel met vier sensoren die
- VIVES herdenkt haar eigen organisatiemodel en zoekt de directeur finance & facilities die deze verandering vastpakt. Ik zie van dichtbij hoeveel ruimte er is om hier meteen impact te maken.
